Brewer Federal Credit Union Supports Local Food Pantries with $1,000 Donation and Community Food Drive
Brewer, Maine — October 2025 — Brewer Federal Credit Union continues its long-standing commitment to supporting the local community by donating $1,000 to the Brewer Food Pantry and launching its annual Food Drive to help stock local food cupboards ahead of the holiday season.
The donation was presented by Brewer FCU President and CEO David DeFroscia to Jessica Gibby, Community Support Supervisor and Co-Coordinator of the OHI Brewer Area Food Pantry. The contribution will help the pantry purchase much-needed staples for families and individuals in need.
In addition to the monetary donation, Brewer FCU is collecting nonperishable food items and cash donations at both of its branches through November 14. Every contribution stays local—supporting food pantries that serve neighbors right here in the Brewer area.
“Supporting our community is at the heart of who we are,” said DeFroscia. “We know that the need is great, especially during the winter months, and we’re proud to help make a difference.”
Community members are encouraged to stop by Brewer FCU’s Dirigo Drive or North Main Street locations to drop off donations and help ensure that no one in our community goes hungry this season.
